Based in Kenia, Bio-logical’s circular economy model supports the most climate vulnerable people in the world. They remove carbon through producing biochar from agricultural waste, from which they create a fertiliser, supplied back to the farmers. This fertiliser increases drought resistance, regenerates land and boosts yields, increasing food security and biodiversity.
I am intrigued by the carbon capture and sequestration option of biochar. It seems a no-brainer to me that all agricultural waste should be turned into this material, which not only sequesters CO2 for hundreds of years, but has many positive properties for the soil.
