Excellent paper by Carbon Direct (https://lnkd.in/ej4iSq5V), comparing a large number of technical options to create Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The graphs at the bottom give a cost and CO2 impact overview of all these options, with and without subsidies from the US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). The winners are in the bottom-left corner: low cost and large CO2-negative impact. The winner (in the US, thanks to the IRA): processing municipal solid waste with a Fisher-Tropsch process and adding carbon capture and storage (CCS) to it.
